5050Pot.com Sweepstakes

1. Sponsor
The 5050Pot.com Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Higher Society, Inc., a nonprofit organization, located at [insert mailing address], Joplin, Missouri (“Sponsor”).
2. Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, age 21 or older at the time of entry. Void in New York, Florida, Rhode Island, and where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, its affiliates, and their immediate family members are not eligible.
3. Sweepstakes Period
Each Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 AM Central Time on the first day of the month and ends at 11:59 PM Central Time on the last day of the month (“Sweepstakes Period”), unless otherwise posted on the website. Sponsor may also offer special Sweepstakes with fixed entry caps or alternate dates; such terms will be disclosed on the applicable entry page.
4. How to Enter
A. Paid Entry (Donation for Entries)
During the Sweepstakes Period, visit www.5050Pot.com and make a donation to Higher Society. Each $1 donation equals 1 entries into the Sweepstakes. Larger donations earn bonus entries (e.g., $10 = 11 entries, $100 = 110 entries). Maximum: 25% of total pot entries per person per Sweepstakes Period.
B. Free Entry (No Purchase Necessary)
You may receive one (1) Free Entry per Sweepstakes Period by this method below:
1. Mail-in Option: Hand-print your full name, address, phone number, email, and date of birth on a 3”x5” card and mail it in a first-class stamped envelope to: 1208 S Main St, Joplin, MO 64801 addresses to HIGHER SOCIETY SWEEPSTAKES. Limit one free entry per person/household per Sweepstakes Period.
All free entries must be received by the end of the Sweepstakes Period.
5. Odds
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received (both paid and free).
6. Prize
One (1) winner will receive 50% of the total eligible entry donations collected during the Sweepstakes Period (less any required federal tax withholding). The remaining 50% will be retained by Higher Society to support its nonprofit programs.
Prizes are awarded in U.S. dollars by check, ACH transfer, or other method specified by Sponsor.
Maximum prize value may vary depending on the specific Sweepstakes tier (e.g., $1,000 Weekly Daily Pot, $10,000 Monthly Pot, $420,000 Mega Pot, or other caps as announced on the site).
7. Winner Selection and Notification
Winner will be selected by random drawing within five (5) business days of the close of the Sweepstakes Period, using a verifiable random number generator. The winner will be notified via email and/or phone within seven (7) days. Winner’s first name, last initial, city, and state may be posted at 5050Pot.com. Winner must complete and return a W-9 form and any other required documentation before prize release.
8. Taxes and Reporting
All federal, state, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. If prize value is $600 or more, Sponsor will require the winner to complete a W-9 form and will issue a 1099-MISC or W-2G as required by law. For prizes $5,000 or greater, Sponsor will withhold 24% federal tax from the payout as required by the IRS.
9. Publicity Release
Except where prohibited, by accepting the prize, winner grants Sponsor permission to use their name, likeness, city, and state for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
10. Limitations of Liability
By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability arising from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance of any prize.
11. General Conditions
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes. Entries that are incomplete, corrupted, late, or generated by automated means are void.
12. Governing Law
The Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
